12th ETS Graduation in Kenya
We are so grateful to God for what He has been doing in Kenya!
On August 27th, 2022, they celebrated the 12th Discipleship International Training Graduation Ceremony with 252 graduates.
The Discipleship program started in the year 2009 in Kenya, and the entry point was the Africa Brotherhood Church headquarter (HQ) Level with a class of fifty-two participants who underwent the two-year training and covered the six books of the series. Manee Kenya NGO, Africa Brotherhood Church, and Discipleship international Canada have been implementing the program since then.
The first class graduated on December 19, 2010, and since then, the fifty-two have paved the way for more than 2,726 disciples who have been trained and have graduated.
And now, the 2019-2022 classes were drawing participants from four denominations, which include the Africa Brotherhood Church, Africa Inland Church, Potters Ministry, and Salvation Army.
The Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2019-2022 took place at the African Brotherhood Church in Masaku and was led by Manee Kenya NGO. The guest speaker was Rt. Rev. Mary Nzyioki (Bishop Nairobi SUB-HQ) and her message was drawn from Luke 14:25-30 and Matthew 4:19. The guest speaker highlighted the qualifications of a true disciple.
The guest speaker reminded the disciples that the Equip to Serve training has strengthened their identity and from now they are stewards.
The Rt. Rev. Matheka gave a speech on behalf of ABC, and he highlighted how the Discipleship Program has made the church grow spiritually. He acknowledged that church leaders (non-clergy) were not fully equipped, but now many of them are leading church services and assisting the clergy in pastoral programs. He was also impressed by some of the ability to recite all the sixty-five verses of the ETS series.
With the 252 graduates this year, we have a total of 2,726 graduates in Africa, praise the Lord!
