ETS Helped Me Grow in Faith

I have been a part of several bible study groups in the past few years, but the studies were usually comprised of 15 minutes of scripture, 10 minutes of prayer, 30 minutes of actually study but finally 1 hour of just talking about your week. In so doing, you meet friends and acquaintances, but you do not develop much in terms of fellowship with other Christians.

I started Equip to Serve and was given the challenge of memorizing scripture, of reading scripture daily within a framework that you are required to actually complete these things to go through the course.

I was put in a group of people of all different backgrounds who were committed to further increasing their knowledge of the scriptures. Every week we were able to discuss things we had studied and have a Bible study based on the Bible.

After book 1, I entered into book two. Book two was more in depth and through the book, I was able to quickly learn 12 verses more without much trouble and have done private devotions with God daily. These verses I still keep with me and keep referring back to in my mind when dealing with situations of life.

It is great to be a part of a program where you are challenged in your knowledge, made to work directly on a scriptural based program to grow in faith. In short, this program has greatly assisted me in knowledge of the Bible, and has encouraged me much more in my own individual time to reflect on the word, and appropriately read the word and study it. The fellowship you have here is with other believers who are also there to learn and become more in depth with the scripture. In short, I highly recommend this program.
