Valdemar’s September 2024 Update

Warm greetings from Monterrey! We hope that in the future, we might welcome a team of evangelists on a missionary trip sent by DI to share the Gospel in this region of Mexico.

In the meantime, please find enclosed a report of activities for the period from July 15 to October 15, 2024.

In late July, we hosted the Annual Meeting of the National Baptist Convention of Mexico in Monterrey. We had the opportunity to showcase our Equip to Serve materials in 20 languages to hundreds of attending churches, some of which have missionaries abroad. Many attendees took our information and contact details, and we hope to support them in their international missions work.

A national group emerged from these meetings, bringing together participants from various states across Mexico.

Alongside this group, which is completing Book 1, we have another group working on Book 5, with brothers and sisters from Oaxaca and Monterrey.

We hold a weekly meeting with leaders to study the workbook Experiencing God. Two of the leaders’ wives, Irma and Marta, have also joined the group.

We thank our Heavenly Father for the provision of literature from Ministry Sown with the Incorruptible Seed, which enabled us to distribute the following resources over the past months:

• 500 New Testaments and 480 Bibles for the missionary trip to Guatemala

• 500 New Testaments for the missionary trip to Oaxaca

• 1,000 New Testaments for the missionary trip to Tehuacan

We are also overjoyed to share that, for the first time on our missionary trip to Tehuacan, two Cuban missionaries will be accompanying us. With DI's support, Pastor Onel, our Director in Cuba, and Yura, a leader from the Rhema Church, will be joining us on this mission trip

In addition, we continue to share the Gospel and provide training for outreach, working alongside members from various churches to evangelize in the streets and door to door.

A great opportunity arose to print tracts of La Ilustración del Puente at an excellent price—9,000 tracts for 2,600 pesos. As a result, D.I. purchased 9,000 tracts for Mexico, and Brother Salomon purchased 9,000 for Guatemala.

We thank our Heavenly Father for His great love and faithfulness toward the ministry of Discipleship International Mexico, as well as for all the brothers who have been channels of God’s blessings to us.
