Valdemar’s May 2024 Update

Greetings to all the brothers participating in D.I., and gratitude to our Heavenly Father for their lives and for all those who support our ministry of Discipleship International Mexico.

We present a report of activities for the months of March, April, and May 2024.

It's time for graduations, and we have five graduating groups.

The first group consists of students from the cities of Puebla and Monterrey.

The second group is made up of students from Oaxaca and Monterrey.

We have a third group with participants from Chihuahua, a group that Irma and I started and will conclude with Amanda as the leader.

A fourth group, initiated by me and continued by Georgi from our trip to Cuba, will also be graduating, with participants from Monterrey and Chihuahua.

All the aforementioned groups will have an online graduation due to the participants being from four different states in Mexico. This graduation will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 8 p.m. Central Mexico Time.

Another group of graduates will be the first ETS graduation in Cuba, which will be held in person on June 30. Belinda, Ismael, Irma, and I will be present.

The list of our graduates and their locations are as follows:

1.- Jesús Zarate Cerna: City of Puebla

2.- José Adrián Torres Rojas: Monterrey

3.-Ricardo Cruz Cortez: Monterrey

4.-Narda Patricia Gemina Cortez Martínez: Monterrey

5.- Benjamín Hernández Hernández: Oaxaca

6.- Gabriela Magdalena Orosio García: Oaxaca

7.- Amanda Lilia Wiebe Rempel: Chihuahua

8.- Ana Cristina González Espino: Chihuahua

9.- Amelia Wiebe Rempel: Chihuahua

10.- Roberto Ángel Rivera Soriano: Monterrey

11.-Ma. Del Carmen Solís Aguinaga: Monterrey

12.- Elizabeth Ramos Rio: Cuba

13.- Daniel Barroso Hernández: Cuba

14.- Onel Pardillo García: Cuba

15.- María de Armas Pena: Cuba

At this time, I am with a group in Book 4 of ETS with participants from Oaxaca and Monterrey

We started a group with brothers and sisters from Canada, the United States, and Mexico, but we only lasted 6 sessions of the first book, mainly due to the time difference, which was convenient for some and very uncomfortable for others.

During this period, we have also completed our study book for leaders and are looking for new materials to restart our weekly meetings.

It is very important to mention that the disciple Jesús Zárate Cerna is already playing a significant role as a discipleship leader in Puebla City. He has a group that is concluding Book 4 of ETS and is also visiting a rehabilitation center in Puebla, where he is finishing Book 3 of this series. The photo below is of his group at his church.

Irma and I are also training in different churches for evangelism with The Bridge Illustration.

As a final point, we inform you that in this next missionary trip to Cuba, we will be accompanied by Belinda and Ismael, so there will be four missionaries in that country. We are going with the intention of encouraging the groups, participating in the graduation, and practicing evangelism with The Bridge Illustration. Irma and I will be in Cuba from June 19 and will return on July 3. They will join us on June 24.

We thank our Heavenly Father for all the brothers and sisters who support our ministry and pray for God's blessings for each one. We also pray for our brothers and sisters in need, whether in health or financial need.

Kind Regards,

Valdemar & Irma
